June 17th, 2017 | Comox, British Columbia
Point Holmes Recreation Association (PHRA) is celebrating their 50th anniversary! Between 1-5 pm on Father’s Day, June 17th, hundreds of people will gather for an open house, BBQ, and raffle—everyone’s welcome!
The PHRA manages a boat ramp and local park on the Lazo Road waterfront in Comox. At a membership cost of only $35/yr, the ramp provides invaluable access to members of the local boating community.
Sponsors of the event have raised over $3,000 in prizes, big and small, for the raffle. All proceeds will go towards a much-needed replacement of the current public waterfront pavilion along Lazo Road. With this event, the PHRA also aims to raise awareness for marine safety, and local boating organizations will be there providing safety demos.
